PE4V Trail Ready
Privacy Policy
1. Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy applies to the PE4V Trail Ready Android application and the companion website at projectenduroforvets.hodgebeaur9638os.workers.dev (collectively, the “Service”).
The Service is prepared for PROJECT ENDURO FOR VETS, located at 3483 E Rimrunner Dr, St. George, Utah 84790, United States. App and privacy support is available at HodgeBeaur9638os@gmail.com and +1 760-397-8039.
The organization’s separately published program contact, admin@projectenduroforvets.org, is provided for current program questions. Communications sent to that address are governed by the recipient’s own practices.
2. Data-practice summary
The Android app is intentionally designed to minimize data collection:
- No account, login, or registration is required.
- No advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or behavioral-tracking SDK is included.
- No precise or approximate location permission is requested.
- No contact-list, camera, microphone, photo-library, SMS, call-log, Bluetooth, or sensor permission is requested.
- No payment card, financial account, government ID, medical record, or military-service document is requested.
- No background ride tracking, crash detection, emergency dispatch, or return-time monitoring occurs.
- Personal planning entries remain in the app’s private local storage unless the user independently copies or shares them outside the app.
3. Information stored locally on the device
The app allows users to save the following optional information in Android private app storage:
- Favorite and selected skill-card identifiers.
- Gear-checklist completion states.
- Trail or staging-area name, difficulty, distance, start time, and planned return time.
- Buddy or group-lead note, emergency-contact note, fuel/range note, and general ride notes.
- Optional after-action journal responses.
- Text-size preference.
- The app’s bundled offline public-information reminder.
This information is not transmitted to Project Enduro for Vets or to the app-support contact by the app. Android backup and device-transfer backup are disabled for the app. The user should not enter Social Security numbers, DD-214 files, benefit records, medical records, diagnoses, grant documents, payment information, or other sensitive records into free-text fields.
4. Website access and technical data
The Android app does not include an in-app browser, WebView, analytics connection, account server, advertising connection, or direct program-status network request. When a user taps a website button, Android sends the public URL to a separate browser or other compatible application chosen by the user.
If the user then visits the companion website, the browser and website-hosting provider may process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the page, such as IP address, request time, requested path, response status, browser user-agent string, and security or abuse signals. This website processing occurs outside the Android app and is not combined with the app’s local ride-plan, checklist, favorite, or journal entries.
The companion website is hosted using Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare’s processing of network and security data is governed by its own terms and privacy documentation.
5. Contact and external actions
Buttons for email, telephone, maps, sharing, official websites, emergency services, and the Veterans Crisis Line use standard Android intents. When selected, the app asks another application on the device—such as the user’s email client, phone dialer, browser, maps app, or share sheet—to handle the action.
PE4V Trail Ready does not silently send an email, place a call, read the user’s address book, or access the content of those other applications. Information the user chooses to send through another application is governed by that application and the chosen recipient.
6. Android permissions
The release version of the app does not request any Android runtime or sensitive permission.
The app does not request Internet, location, storage, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, telephone, SMS, nearby-device, notification, activity-recognition, biometric, accessibility-service, overlay, or background-service permissions.
7. Third-party websites and services
The Service contains links or actions involving third parties, including:
- Project Enduro for Vets’ published website and contact channels.
- Veterans Crisis Line resources.
- The device’s browser, email client, dialer, maps application, and sharing interface.
- Cloudflare website-hosting and network-security infrastructure.
These third parties operate independently and may have different privacy practices. Review their policies before submitting personal information. A link does not authorize PE4V Trail Ready to receive the user’s activity on the destination service.
8. Sharing, selling, advertising, and profiling
The app operator does not sell or rent personal information. The Android app does not share local ride-plan, checklist, favorite, or journal content with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers. The app does not contain targeted advertising, cross-app tracking, automated decision-making, or profiling for eligibility, credit, employment, insurance, health care, housing, or government benefits.
Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, protect users or others, investigate abuse, or maintain the security and integrity of the Service. Because local app entries are not collected by the operator, the operator normally has no copy of those entries to disclose.
9. Retention and deletion
Local app information remains on the device until the user changes it, clears the app’s storage through Android settings, or uninstalls the app. Uninstalling the app normally deletes its private local data. Backup is disabled by the app, although device manufacturers or enterprise administrators may apply system-level behavior outside the app operator’s control.
Email, telephone, or other communications sent outside the app may be retained by the sender, recipient, and their service providers according to their own legal, operational, and recordkeeping requirements. Requests concerning those communications should identify the channel used and the approximate date.
10. Security and responsible use
Local entries use Android private application storage, and the website uses encrypted HTTPS transport. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Users should protect the device with an appropriate screen lock, install system updates, avoid entering sensitive records, and remove local notes before transferring or disposing of the device.
The app is not suitable for storing government identity documents, medical information, payment data, legal records, service records, benefit claims, or grant-application files. It also is not a navigation, emergency-response, crash-detection, or rider-monitoring system.
11. Children and minors
PE4V Trail Ready is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent, guardian, or responsible adult should supervise any minor’s participation in off-road activities and confirm current organizer requirements.
If you believe a child sent personal information through an external contact channel, use the app-support contact below with enough information to locate the communication. Do not send additional sensitive details.
12. Privacy rights and requests
Depending on applicable law and the nature of the information, an individual may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or information about processing. The app operator cannot retrieve or edit local app entries because those entries are not received by the operator. Users control them directly through the app and Android device settings.
For communications sent to the app-support address, submit a request using the same email address where practical and describe the relevant communication. Identity may need to be reasonably verified before acting on a request. Requests involving the organization’s separate official contact or another third party should be directed to that recipient.
13. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated to reflect changes in the app, website, hosting, law, or data practices. The “Last updated” date will be revised when changes are published. If a future version materially changes collection or use, the related app listing and disclosures should also be updated before or when the change becomes effective.
